Threefold Deities Empowerment
Venerable Lama Khedup Rinpoche conducted the Threefold Deities Empowerment, at 8 p.m. on 1st September 2007 at Karma Norbuling Centre. There has been overwhelming response from devotees during the event.
A brief explanation about the Threefold Deities was explained before the proper empowerment.
The Threefold Deities are Vajrapani, Hayagriva and Garuda. The main purpose of this empowerment is to liberate us from the three poisonous minds – to purify our body, speech and mind. We should therefore do the practice not just to protect ourselves from this harm, but to liberate ourselves by actualizing the path of method and wisdom within our mind.

The second process of empowerment is the empowerment of Hayagriva deity; the manifestation of Buddha’s speech. It appears in a wrathful manner, horse headed in burning red form and holding a mallet on one hand with the other holding a hoop in mudra posture with a fearful action.
Hayagriva Deity
The third process of empowerment is the empowerment of Vajrapani deity; the manifestation of Buddha’s mind. Vajrapani appears in blue colour, wearing brocade, holding vajra and phurba to destroy evil spirit.
