Wesak Day 2008
On the eve of Wesak Day, 18 May 2008, Karma Kagyud Buddhist Centre, Alma again celebrated this auspicious day by dharma talk given by our Resident Master, Ven. Lama Khetup Rinpoche and procession around the Alma residential area led by Venerable and other lamas followed by all devotees.
Lamp lighting, animal liberation, bathing of Buddha ceremony and the 16 Arahan puja were the morning events at the Centre on the day of Wesak.
This year is the most memorable day for us because with the kind effort of our Resident Master we managed to decorate a float in accordance to the Vajrayana tradition for the Wesak celebration jointly organized by the Penang Buddhist Association that held in the evening. During the float procession, our Resident Master gave blessings and chanting by the other lamas. Many devotees participated in the float procession.
