Eight Precepts 2007

14 October 2007, 7.00 a.m., Karma Norbuling Buddhist Centre once again held the Eight Precepts attended by many devotees led by the Resident Master, Ven. Lama Khedup Rinpoche.

As usual the Eight Precepts ceremony started with the vow taking of the Resident Master followed with explanations and vow taking of the devotees.

All devotees participated in the Avalokiteshvara and Green Tara pujas which were conducted by Rinpoche during the morning session.


Lunch was served at 11.30 a.m. and the Eight Precepts food offering ceremony was conducted before 12 noon to mark the closing of food intake until the next sunrise. Devotees were advised to perform their self practice until 2.30 p.m.

The afternoon session resumed with Avalokiteshvara puja ended with Mahakala puja at 5.00 p.m. In between sessions there were dharma talks and explanations on Avalokiteshvara visualisations.

All devotees were blessed by the Resident Master and a group photo was taken before everybody left the Centre.
